Cranberry Facts

There are a lot of misconceptions about cranberry production.  These cranberry fact sheets address many of the misconceptions with Cranberry Science 101, Cranberry Facts 101, and Wisconsin Cranberry Facts 101.

Where would your students use these facts?

  • Ag tourism

  • FFA events

  • 4-H projects

  • Fair booths

  • Classroom reports

  • Everyday conversations

Many of these facts were used at the Cranberry exhibit at Farm Technology Days.  People from all over the state came to visit the Cranberry exhibit.  They had many questions and wanted to learn as much as they could about cranberries.  Cranberry exhibit volunteers were armed with a t-shirt and Cranberry facts.

FFA students volunteered to supervise the hands-on soil experiment and offer information.  These students quickly learned the facts about growing cranberries so they could educate exhibit visitors and help with the hands-on bog in a cup project.  Bog in a cup or other hands-on lessons combined with these fact sheets can quickly create a Cranberry display booth.

These facts would make great project points and help students complete cranberry reports, 4-H projects, science fair displays, etc.  Educators can also use these fact sheets for teaching points and pair with our Cran-Quiz.
